Ski Trip 2 (for Round-Eyes Only)

Ski trip number two in two weeks! The temps went down a bit and Kirkwood got more snow, so this past Tuesday I headed up once again with the Wickstroms and my Dad. It was a beautiful day with amazing snow conditions and absolutely no wind even at the top of the backside. Here's a quick run down of the pictures.

Picture one is of me, Kelly, Kirsten and Aaron on our way to the top. On the chair in front of us were Keith, Britta and Tim. In the next set of pictures Kelly decides to not impale a stupid snowboarder, then Tim, Britta, Keith and Aaron hit the jump. The two following pictures are of the entire group. Then there's a picture of the "Creepy Molester Van" that parked next to us at Taco Bell. The last picture is of Yu-Yu and I with our favorite desserts, Ice Cream and Rice Pudding. For some reason the Wickstroms think he and I look related, but I think the only similarities are we both have dark hair, love dessert and have bad teeth. ;)

The other news this week is that my mom apparently decided I'm good enough on a horse now that she let me ride her horse Bree! Well it was only for a minute but it is still quite the honor. ;) This weekend my parents are heading out of town so Alex and I are going to be bacheloring it for a couple of days. This means there will probably be lots of drinking and "boos"... when I destroy his friends in Halo... On the school front I've been keeping busy with my classes, Hilmar Lumber projects and figuring out my schedule for next quarter. It looks like I will be doing an internship for class credit with a new Minneapolis video production and post-production company. This is a pretty exciting opportunity and should be really good experience. Stay tuned for more details in future posts.

Ode to V-Day

So far this blog has been used entirely for the purpose of updating friends and family on my life. Well now its time for a rant! And that rant is Valentine's day. This "holiday" is around because it makes money. Plain and simple. I've personally started my own holiday called "Optional Valentine's Day." With this new holiday you get all of the same benefits of the original minus the price gouging. And because this holiday is "optional" it can take place on the weekend before or after Valentine's Day or not at all! Simply genius.

Kirkwood with the Wicks

I'm officially halfway through my quarter! Whoohoo! But next week I start 2 new classes including Physics. Boohooo... Anyways just posting a quick photo update of my Kirkwood ski trip yesterday with the Wickstroms. It was Liam's first time skiing. The weather here in CA has been feeling way too much like early summer lately, even at Kirkwood. I've been slacking recently but I really need to get up there more before the snow is all gone!
